ABOUT US

Atomic Studios is a world class recording facility with branches in Cape Town and Johannesburg. We offer services ranging from expert recording and post-production work to mixing and mastering, composition and everything else audio related. Both studios are purpose built and have been designed and acoustically treated to industry standard spec.

As well as operating as in-house studios for Next Music, Just Music, STFD Records and Mongrel Records, the studios run as commercial studios working with 3rd parties including musical projects, radio adverts, film composition, podcast work and everything in between. Our engineers have decades worth of experience in the South African music industry as studio engineers, producers and performers and are always on hand to make your experience at Atomic Studios a positive, comfortable and creatively fulfilling one. Joburg

Our JHB-based studio is a purpose built recording facility consisting of a live room and spacious control room kitted out with world-class equipment.

Atomic Studios JHB is situated at ‘Next House’ which is the home of Next Music, Just Music, and Mongrel Records and also shares working space with other businesses in the creative sector, ensuring that creativity pulses through the halls of the building.

Cape Town

Our Cape Town branch is made up of two studios. Our ‘A’ studio boasts a big live room and dedicated control room and our ‘B’ Studio offers a vocal booth and control room. The space is designed to be modular so that each room can be operated independently or across all four rooms.

Atomic Studios CT also shares work space with Sit the Folk Down, STFD Records and M-Pire Music, a fully integrated and interactive retail space that sells international and local vinyl, making the space a hub of creativity within the South African music landscape.
